Friday Night Fun

Friday was such a great day. Relaxing in the morning, opening the windows and letting the warm breeze through the house, and once Martin came home from work, we headed over to Ant & Jac's for a fabulous evening.

We started with these beautiful margaritas. How fun is that color? And they are even tastier than they look, thanks for the recipe Doug!

This little guy was very excited we were all hanging out in the yard, which meant he got to run around and enjoy the sunshine. And he LOVES the camera.

The boys built a ramp for Ant's motorcycle while us girls hung out on the deck.

This is Jacquie's adorable herb garden...and look...sprouts!

We enjoyed the warm sunshine and the beautiful view of the river.

Jacquie and I took a walk down to the river where Lex ran his little heart out on the beach.

He ran over and under the dock, happy as could be.

And just as Jacquie started to say he doesn't like the water he surprised us both and took off through the water. He was running so fast I'm pretty sure this might be considered running on water. :)

He wasn't sure if he liked it or not. He tested it, ran out as fast as his little legs would carry him, he tasted it, he ran back and forth, and then he decided he kinda liked it. He's so cute.

We watched the sun set over the water, let Lex race over the rocks, and slowly headed back up the road.

We strolled back and much to our surprise this is what we came upon when we returned to the house. Oh yes, our husbands had dissassembled Martin's front bumper. We shouldn't be surprised...when these two get together they are always up to something.

The sun was setting and we knew we were in for a beautiful first day of spring. So we started making plans for Saturday and Jacquie started making her delicious burgers.

We had our first grillin' night of the season and ended the night with lots of laughs.
We're looking forward to many more grillin' nights this year.
