One day during our mini-vacation we went fishing off of the bridge in Westport. We have not been fishing this year and we only went a few times last summer. So we loaded up our fishing rods, got a little blue container filled with worms or "Night Crawlers" as they like to call them and headed to the bridge.
Martin is in charge of baiting my hook but just for the record I did hook one worm on. Martin laughed at me as I used pliers to thread this disgustingly slimy worm onto my hook.
Martin ended up catching three fish within the first hour. Two "scup" fish and one "Tautog". We threw them all back and I continued to cast with no luck. In retrospect, I am secretly happy that I did not catch a fish because Martin may have made me take it off the hook. That would have been a sight, that's for sure. It was pretty fun fishing and hopefully we'll get a few chances to do it again this summer.
