We finally decided to get me a new vehicle this past September. I traded my 1998 Honda Civic EX for a 2008 Jeep Patriot. Though giving up my beloved Honda was not easy I love my new Jeep. My little red car had some "quirks" that have made me appreciate a new vehicle but I will always remember those memories. The driver side window occasionally slid out of the track and it always happened to be when it was raining, snowing, dark outside, or somewhere we had no tools available. The shifter tended to got stuck in drive until you almost threw out your shoulder jiggling it to get it to move to Park. Then there was the trunk that leaked when it rained or snowed despite being sealed and fixed three separate times. Last but not least, there was the lack of space from the ground to the bottom of my vehicle and many memories of bottoming out or having exhaust system issues, and even getting stopped by the Hudson police and being told my car was "illegal". Haha, many memories will stay with me about my little red car. It treated me well and I will miss it.
My new 2008 Jeep Patriot is black, automatic, 4 wheel drive, has alloy wheels (that Martin finagled the salesman to throw in), and is super cute. We bought some nets that go in the back and are great for holding groceries or smaller items so they don't roll around. It is so nice having a 'trunk' that I can actually use. I recently got to try out the 4 wheel drive for the first time in our first snow storm of the season and it handles great! I love my Jeepers:)
